Introduction

Welcome to Revenue's online Income Tax Return facility.

This is the quickest and most convenient way to submit your PAYE Tax Return.

This Tax Return should be completed by a person whose main source of income is from a PAYE employment or pension or by a non- proprietary company director who pays all his or her income tax under the PAYE system.The Income Tax Return is a return of Income and a claim for Tax Credits, Allowances and Reliefs for the Year Ended 31 December.

Whether you have been requested to submit this form, via a letter received from your Revenue office, or you have chosen to do so yourself the same steps should be taken to successfully submit your online form. Please note your tax return for 2014 should be prepared and submitted on or before 31 October 2015.


Capital Gains Tax (CGT)

  • The Income Tax Return does not provide for the return of Capital Gains Tax details. If you (or your spouse or civil partner, if relevant), disposed of any chargeable assets in the year, you will need to complete a separate CGT return for that purpose and submit it to your Revenue office. Please note it is not necessary to submit receipts with this return but all relevant receipts should be kept for six years, as your claim may be chosen for a detailed examination at a later date.

What You Will Need To Complete This Form

  • Personal Public Service Number (PPSN).
  • myAccount Password.
  • If you are married or in a Civil Partnership and assessed under Joint assessment the PPSN of your spouse or Civil partner.
  • Your Form P60 (s) for year ended 31 December (if in employment at year end).
  • If you are married or in a civil partnership and assessed under joint assessment a Form P60 (s) for your spouse or civil partner for year ended 31 December (if in employment at year end).
  • If your employer paid your Medical Insurance Premium in the year you may need to contact your employer for full details.
